 Shorted Wire? May 21, 2008
I purchased three strings of these lights to have outside as a perimeter on our fence during the summer. They make great supplementary lighting for outdoor gatherings and are especially pretty right at dusk. So far the lights have been outside for about 3.5 weeks and have been exposed to rain, wind and sun. I also took one strand and wound it around a metal gate - something I was nervous about doing with Christmas lights, given how fragile they can be. These lights are definitely more expensive than some of the others on Amazon, but I bought them hoping they'd hold up better, given what I wanted to do with them. After about a week outside, one of the three strands occasionally goes out, though only a portion of the strand does this - not the whole thing - weird. I've noticed that going out and shaking it slightly makes the lights come back on, so I suspect a shorted wire.

I ordered theses lights to replace on my 6 foot spiral celebrations
lawn trees for Christmas .I really needed white wires but could not find them.

The lights were woven through an artificial, PINK, Cherry Tree in hope of creating both an attractively illuminated corner ... and a ROMANTIC atmosphere. Both were accomplished!!!
Stringing the lights THROUGH the tree was both difficult and time consuming. The excess wiring continuously got stuck on the frail "branches" ... knocking off several "blossoms" regardless of my [...] efforts to prevent that from happening. All in all ... better undertaken by TWO. Upon completion ... commence ROMANTIC activities!!!

It was great to find these lights at a reasonable price. Our outdoor reindeer/moose needed a new string of lights so we did not have to replace the whole item and these lights are just impossible to find in stores - so now the Chris-moose can be restrung and lighted with white wire to match his frame

Tangle-free design with bright clear lights! I've place these lights outdoors and they have survived just fine through the wind & rain without any trouble.
