Amazon.com Review From the company that has decorated famous Christmas settings like Chicago's State Street and Dollywood comes professional-grade holiday trimmings to deck the halls of your home. This towering 7-1/2-foot Chesapeake artificial tree by GKI/Bethlehem Lighting faithfully reproduces the lush fullness of a freshly cut pine with densely packed branches, close-set needles, and multi-hued coloring to represent new and old growth. Offering an ideal conical shape with enough variation to still look organic, the tree can be viewed equally well from all sides to showcase all the favorite family ornaments and garland. It also comes pre-strung with 950 clear mini-lights that glow and sparkle from both deep within the branches and near the outer edges. Using an individual lock-in method, each bulb operates independently of the others so one burnout won't cast the whole tree into un-festive (and frustrating!) darkness. To assemble the Chesapeake, simply plug in the lights, then fan out the hinged branches starting at the bottom and working toward the top. The tips can be bent slightly upward as if they are reaching for the sun. Fire-retardant, fade-proof, and crush-resistant, the tree stands securely on a metal base and features heavy-duty wire branch construction, so it looks crisp and perfect all season long. When it's time to pack away, the included carton stores this showpiece safely without damage to needles. The tree measures 65 inches in diameter and comes with a one-year limited warranty. It weights 76.8 pounds upon delivery. --Kara Karll

Almost perfect! January 16, 2008 great product! Way too many outlet! Goes together easily enough, just take care with the 12 plus outlets.
Awesome tree! January 14, 2008 This is a GORGEOUS tree once you spend a little time arranging the branches. As with any artificial floral products, the key is in carefully shaping each wired piece. It was a steal for this price, and my friends are jealous...they spent more and received a lower quality product from another vendor.
Christmas tree January 8, 2008 I am very pleasantly happy with this item. It looks wonderful and it a lot fuller than I expected it to be.
Elegant and Realistic January 5, 2008 Finally, we didn't have to go out in inclement conditions to find our Christmas tree. We found the perfect tree on the internet at a very affordable price. The tree was easy to assemble and is the perfect size for our living space. It is very realistic and one cannot discern whether it is natural or artificial unless you examine it closely. The tree is very lush and elegant and was able to hold all of our beautiful glass ornaments that we also purchased on line from this company.
read carefully before buying! December 11, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
First of all, this is a gorgeous tree. The customer who complained that you could see the pole did not understand that this is a pine tree. You always see the pole on a pine tree; it's how they're made. Also, it is essential to arrange the tips on the branches properly or it looks skimpy. BUT!!!! Before you buy this tree (or the bigger version) know this: It is a VERY VERY heavy tree and it is VERY big around. My previous tree is only a foot shorter but it takes up way less space. If you don't have a lot of room, it'll crowd you out. And it's too heavy for one person to put up by themselves. It is a LOT of trouble to put up. It's not complicated, just time consuming and (for me) very tiring. The stand is difficult to handle since you have to tighten screws to hold the tree in place and it's so heavy that it keeps wanting to fall over while you're tightening. So, if you have a lot of room and plenty of time and help available; it's a gorgeous tree (very real-looking) that will really add to your holiday decor. But if you're not very strong, don't have help and are pressed for space and time, look elsewhere. I sent mine back because I just couldn't lug it around and put it together easily. If I had a bigger house, more time and more help, I'd have kept it.
