Works Good, Could use a humidity display January 7, 2009
Only had this item for 3 weeks, but it seems to work good. Extremely quiet, even on the high level. One improvement could be a digital display of the room humidity.
 soleus dehumidifier 25 pint portable January 2, 2009
I have the 25 pint soleus dehumidifier for a month now and I haven't had any problems with it!
It does what it is suppose to do. Every 2 weeks I clean the filter,and I empty the water tray, every 2 days before the red light comes on because I want to see how much water will be in the tank. I have alot. I use it in my unused bedroom that is cooler than the other rooms and I moved it around to the other rooms for a day to see which room will get the most water!
I am very happy with my soleus!I bought from AMAZON and it was shipped when they said it would be! No problems!!
In the basement I bought LG 75 pints dehumidifiers (2)I have a large basement. and those are doing a great job also! I bought them at home depot because they were there at the time I was!
they also had a 5 year warranty.
I was going crazy reading good reviews and bad reviews and really was undecided as I did not want problems.So I took a chance with the soleus 25 pint since more people bought them according to the reviews then of the other dehumidifiers listed! I bought the LG dehumidifiers because my husband was with me and said get them it has a 5 year warranty and he is not going to shop or hear any more about dehumidifiers!! so I did!!!

The product I received does not work. I have contacted the company and they want me to pay to ship it to them before they send me another unit. And, I wonder if IT will work???
Great Unit December 3, 2008
Not too noisy, light, easy to use. Very happy with it. Stayed with the same model for 3 years now, no problem.
Taking the water basin out can be a little cumbersome and water spills when you are not careful, but hook it up to a drain and you will love it.
Great for basements. Does a marvelous job.
Corrosion problem November 10, 2008
We ordered one about 2 months ago and another about 1 month ago after the first seemed to be working very well. However, the water in the pan of the first unit started to turn blue a week later. This is getting worse and the efficiency of the unit has dropped. It is collecting very little water now, even in very humid weather.
The blue color is also showing up in the second unit.
I have not opened the units but am assuming that the blue is from copper salts coming off of corroding cooling elements.
