 Works well January 8, 2009
I bought this for my daughters' dorm room which was really dry. It's made a big difference and it's not too loud like some of them are. Was reasonably priced too.
Excellent product January 6, 2009
This is a great humidifier. Unlike some comments on here, it is very quiet. The different fan and humidity settings are great to get the exact amount of moisture you are looking for. The only drawback I've found is the shape of the tank. It's just slightly awkward when trying to fill it with water. Other than that I would highly recommend this product!

Quiet, effective, and moist December 22, 2008
This is the second humidifier that I have purchased (the first for my son, this one for me). My son's--purchased from a different company--I am sad to say, does sound like a plane during lift off (though it provides lovely white noise in his room, it was not preferable any place else). This humidifier, on the other hand, operates quietly and it produces great room moisture. I have it positioned about 12 feet from my bed, and--at high speed--I can feel a moist wind across my face. Really worth the money, and I would highly recommend it.
Good product, misleading on Capacity December 22, 2008

I purchased 2 HCM-630 humidifiers on the basis of the reviews. It works very well, quiet enough for me. However, there is very misleading information on the tank capacity -all the indications are that it hold 3 gallons-NO! (I got the information from Matt of Kaz, Inc. help desk) On the cover of the Owner's Manual it states "3 US Gallons (11.3 Liters) OUTPUT PER DAY"! It is suppose to put out 3 gallons of mist a day, but the tank holds only 1.5 Gallons! That was the answer to why I had to refill it so often. Pros - works very well, cons - misleading water capacity and need to refill often. Yes, I recommend it.
