Product Description Completely automatic, the new Capresso FrothXpress is the ideal companion for your coffeemaker. A sturdy pump and powerful stainless steel thermoblock produce enough hot steam to froth up to 30-oz. of milk in seconds-that's enough cappuccinos or lattes for you and some friends! The milk temperature can be adjusted from 120 to 170 degrees F, while an indicator light lets you know when it's ready. Then, simply add your preferred espresso or coffee and enjoy. Great for hot chocolate too. Removable milk and water containers, easy to clean frother parts, and a patented safety pressure release make this item especially user friendly. 1200 watts.
Amazon.com Review If you're a fan of cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolate, or other drinks that use hot, frothy milk (and really, who isn't?), then Capresso's FrothXpress should become an indispensable part of your kitchen collection. After it's been turned on and warmed up for two minutes, it's easy to use. Just fill the water tank (which is in the actual machine), then fill the milk tank (which is a separate unit), and attach them. From that moment, it's just a matter of putting a cup under the spout and pressing the button--voila, steamed frothy milk for a variety of treats. The milk temperature is adjustable from 120 to 170 degrees F, and the frother has 1,220 watts of power, as well as a stainless-steel ThermoBlock that ensures the aluminum parts don't touch the steam, a nice safety feature. The FrothXpress measures 8-3/4 by 6-1/2 by 8-3/4 inches (length by width by height), and looks sharp in gleaming bright black plastic. --A.J. Rathbun

Great Frother-just make sure knob is tight January 3, 2009 The frother worked GREAT the first day but, after cleaning it, I could not get it to froth the milk. The following day, after cleaning again, it started frothing again- The key: the little Knob MUST be pressed firmly into the connecting tube. Once I did this, it Frothed perfectly. I would highly recommend. Very easy to clean and re-assemble:takes 2 minutes.
Perfect partner for my Breville Espresso Maker December 23, 2008 Serving multiple cappuccinos is a lot easier and faster now that I don't have to switch my machine from "espresso" to "steam" and vice versa. Helps prolong the life of the heating element of my Breville since the machine is pretty much set for making perfect espresso every time.
Piece O Junk November 16, 2008 Before I bought this I read all of the reviews on Amazon. There was a lot of negative press, like it doesn't froth milk. I thought, How could it not froth milk? Well now I know. I've gone through two of these puppies and I too have not been able to produce froth. The reason is that the rocker switch at the top of the machine malfunctions. You can pound on it all you want but the switch that turns on the steamer just doesn't engage. The first one broke in two days and the second one in two weeks. I'm in the process of returning it to get my money back. Anyone who buys this machine is out of their mind !!!!
The worst product I have ever run accross October 8, 2008 Capresso 201.01 FrothXpress Automatic Milk Frother, Black I just got this thing today and was quite disappointed with it. The thing would not siphon milk out of the container and it just poured hot steamed water. I called the support but I doubt the replacing the tube that attaches to the milk container will not make any difference. I wonder if the person who agreed to put a prototype to be put into production had his head in the sand failing to see a poor design this product is.
Works great, as long as it lasts July 6, 2008 After maybe 18 months of everyday use the seal in the water reservoir failed. Water leaked onto the parts below and they corroded. I took the unit apart, cleaned the contacts and used it another year. Now it's having trouble again and I'm tired of messing with it, but I'm buying a replacement because it's still the best product I can find. It would be even better without the planned obsolescence -- improve the seal, and, as back up, make those internal parts out of something that water can't damage.
