Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review When mixing up big batches of cookies or bread with a KitchenAid mixer, you don't want to have to stop to wash the bowl. An extra bowl to fit the mixer is a welcome addition to a kitchen arsenal, and this bowl earns its place in the cupboard, because it will also be used as a versatile mixing bowl independent of the mixer. It's made of thick polished stainless steel with a brushed steel interior and a flat base to rest securely on the counter. I has a sturdy handle and two brackets for fitting into the mixer. Its superb quality will last through a lifetime of cooking. --Marcie Bovetz

Out of the dog house March 24, 2008 My wife loves this product because of its handle. I bought the mixer unit that came with a bowl but no handle.
KitchenAid Bowl February 24, 2008 I LOVE my KitchenAid mixer and use it so much that one bowl was not practical. I purchased a second bowl and use them all the time. The handle on it makes it easier to pour whatever I have concocted into the appropriate vessel.
An Extra Bowl February 5, 2008 I don't know what I did before I had this second bowl for my Kitchen Aid mixer. Now I remember: I would waste lots of time and energy using a glass bowl to dump contents into while I used the Kitchen Aid bowl for another ingredient. Example: seperated eggs. When I make Tiramisu or Tres Leches I need to whip the egg whites and then use the yolks separately. With two bowls it is a snap!
Spend the money and get the extra bowl. Like all appliances (and dinnerware companies) they get you on the accessories - that's where the money is made. But it is a worthwhile investment.
kitchen-aide extra mixing bowl January 19, 2008 This was exactly what I was looking for, an extra mixing bowl with handle for our classic Kitchen-aide mixer. It's a well made stainless bowl that should last a long time. I wasn't sure when I ordered this if it would be the right bowl to fit our mixer. Pivot head mixer threw me off as that is not mentioned when you look at the different mixers. But it does screw into the base of our classic mixer.
No Handle? January 14, 2008 I bought the KitchenAid K45SBWH Bowl with handle for my wife for Christmas. Her first response...why would anyone want this without a handle? She loved it and I love what she mixes up in it!!
