The accent is the collection's signature strips of silicone that are strategically bonded into the pieces to eliminate slippery grips. The set includes one rectangular and one square baking dish, one pie plate, and one patented, easy-pour Teardrop bowl. The brilliant-red silicone strips add both a colorful accent and a sure grip to the handles of each piece, and an additional strip encircles the base of the bowl so that it stays put on any surface. Made of durable, non-porous, non-reactive Pyrex glass, the bakeware is safe to use in the oven (to 425), microwave, freezer, and dishwasher. These pieces have an attractive style that allows them to go from the kitchen right to the dinner table. The 3-quart baking dish measures 9 by 13 by 2 inches, the square baking dish 8 by 8 by 2 inches, and the pie plate 91/2 by 11/2 inches; the Teardrop bowl has a 21/2-quart capacity. The same great performance, plus good looking January 29, 2008
The first set I received has two or more pans shattered in the box. With broken glass everywhere, I didn't check the details. But the good thing is that I called Amazon and they sent me a new set in express delivery. Great service and great price from Amazon.
About the pans, they are just good old pyrex with a nice modern touch, same performance, better looking.

Pyrex bakeware has been a part of my kitchen for years due to its versitility, attractiveness and ease to clean. These dishes go directly from the oven to the dining table and kitchen sink without a glitch. Cleaning is easy since baked on food/grease comes off easily without much elbow grease.
This particular set is was hard to pass up not only because of its usefullness but its great price. I bought one set for myself and the others for gifts. The red accents not only coordinate with my kitchen, they provide a welcomed nonslip feature to the glass handles. The detailed pie dish provides a nice presentation at the table and the mixing bowl is conviniently sized plus the beakered end is a welcomed feature.
Overall a great product which I highly recommend.

This set of Pyrex bakeware was lovely. Very heavy with red heat-resistant handles. Will probably buy more sets for other family members and friends. Very nice. Thank you!

The red silicone accent on these dishes is just too cute. But it's handy too. It makes for a better grip while your getting it in or out of the oven. And the ring on the bottom of the bowl makes it less likely to slip as you are mixing.
