Very solid but . . . . March 16, 2006

The product has a nice weight and feels solid in your hand, but . . . . it doesn't cut the cheese. We had a fiskars cheese plane for 15 years, which worked marvelously, but the constant stress finally caused the metal to fatigue, and the head fell off. While the Chantal feels like a designer product, it simply does not function adequately. Try something else.
