griddle review August 23, 2008 The griddle is large enough to make most everything, one complaint,I'm not to thrilled with the side drainage channels, food tends to run in to them, otherwise it is great.Circulon 2 18-by-10-Inch Double Burner Griddle
More useful that I ever imagined January 23, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I thought this would be a nice to have item for those occasions when I needed more room than a typical pan would provide. Turns out, we ended up using it almost every day.
I have a gas range and this pan is rather large. So I left it on the range one day (Its pretty large, so you have to work to get it into a cabinet) and now it just stays there for daily use. We throw things on it all the time because it heats so well. I cook large amounts of chicken for casseroles, toast bread and heat lunch meat, as well as the expected items like French toast and bacon.
The surface is a little different that the typical non stick, so I always use a little Pam or butter prior to cooking on it. It heats evenly, cleans easily and has plenty of space for anything you want to cook.
One Awesome Griddle... but not cheap! December 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Griddle does everything it's advertised to do and more. The non-stick coating is light-years better than the old "silverstone" we used to always see. I was very impressed with the stout design and overall durability of the griddle and found it heating fairly uniformly over my gas cooktop. Pancakes are common in our home once again!
Just what I wanted! September 20, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
With 4 kids, I do quite a bit of cooking. We home-school and I cook almost every meal. Recently I decided to get a griddle to speed up the pancakes in the morning. This is just the ticket. Not too heavy to lift easily, distributes heat very well, food doesn't stick, and it cleans up like a dream! I put it over two gas burners and I've got all the pancakes made in a jif. Plus I get to sit down and eat some hot breakfast with everybody else. I also did sausages on it. I'm going to try eggs next, because I usually use my tri-ply stainless pan for them. I want to see how many I can make at once! By the way, I use Krusteaz pancake mix, water, and 1 to 1 1/2 cups of whole ricotta cheese. These yummy pancakes stick to your ribs all morning!
It saved Saturday morning breakfasts. September 16, 2007 We really like this griddle. We had a calphalon griddle that didn't have the non-stick surface and it was messy to cook on and difficult to clean. I started hating Saturday morning breakfasts because I got stuck with the awful clean-up afterwards. This griddle is so nice because of the quick clean-up. It is worth the price and now I look forward to our Saturday morning family breakfasts.
