Wide and shallow with gently sloping sides, this round, 10-inch pan is ideal for sauteing, braising, and cooking casseroles on the stovetop or in the oven (safe to 450 degrees F), and it goes handsomely to the table for serving. It comes with a domed stainless-steel lid to collect moisture and return it to food during cooking. Calphalon's Commercial Nonstick cookware is coated with an especially durable, multilayered nonstick material. (For long life, only plastic, nylon, and wood utensils are recommended.) The pan's matte-finish exterior is anodized for hardness and won't chip, crack, or peel. Polished cast-stainless-steel handles are multiriveted for durability, resist heating on the stovetop, and are large enough to accommodate oven mitts. This 10" nonstick "EVERYDAY" pan has truly become just that for me.
I live alone, so many of my meals are of a smaller amount (when I'm not cooking for the kids and grand kids). Whether for breakfast eggs or quantites of stir fry meals it acts as a fry pan as well as a small wok.
I am very pleased with this item and have had no flaking on the surface after four years of service. True, the handles get hot from the gas jet. That's why we use fire and not ice to prepare meals. But with a hot pot holder I can tip the pan and scrape out the contents into a bowl or onto a plate. With two pot holders I can give a quick shake and slip three eggs over the edge and onto a plate. Perfect for a single guy who enjoys a good meal.
Favorite Calphalon skillet-10" Everyday non stick skillet December 24, 2007
I purchased this for a gift but own it myself too and it is my very favorite skillet. It is perfect for dinner for two and I use it in the oven as much as I use it on the stovetop. Put your meat and seasonings in the skillet, slice up some potatoes and add your favorite veggies and pop it in the oven at 350 for an hour and you have dinner. Cleaning is a breeze being non stick. I give it a 5 star rating. LOVE IT!!!

I have this pan and have been giving it as a wedding gift for about 10 years. It is the most useful pan in my cupboard - perfect for a 2 person family. I fix vegetables, stir fry, German pancakes, anything I can think of in it. I'm glad I can still get it at Amazon - Macy's no longer carries it except in a set of several Calphalon pans.

I use this daily. Great product.....but don't put in the dishwasher. Makes the product turn whiteish!

This was a great pan and one that we used everyday. It was a little on the small side for a family of 4 but was great for for most tasks. Then just a few weeks ago, I noticed that the nonstick coating was bubbling. Another week went by and an entire patch started coming off. I am now giving up on buying anything with a nonstick coating and am now going with stainless steel instead. Just seems like a waste of metal to have to replace these nonstick pans every two years.
