Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
Brown turkey sausages or prepare golden slices of French toast in this 11-inch round grill pan from Rachael Ray. For burner-to-oven-to table use, the deep pan features a grooved cooking surface that replicates coveted grill stripes on those sausage links. The grooves also facilitate easier burger flipping while run-off juices collect in the recesses between ridges. Two side depressions in the pan's perimeter enable neat pouring.

The pan's cast-iron construction provides excellent heat distribution and retention, while deflecting dents and breakage for decades. The porcelain-enameled coating eliminates the need to pre-seasoning the pan interior. A cast-iron 7-inch handle helps chefs transport the pan from the burner to the table. A hanging hole perforates the handle for storage flexibility. To clean, allow the grill pan to cool before washing by hand. To preserve the enamel coating, avoid abrasive scrubbing pads and harsh cleansers. Dry the pan immediately after washing to prevent rust. A limited lifetime warranty covers this item. The round grill pan measures 18-2/5 by 12 by 3-1/2 inches. Made in China, the grill pan weighs 9-2/5 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

2 out of 5 stars Does not give grill marks   July 31, 2008

I can never get this pan hot enough to get grill marks on my cooked items

1 out of 5 stars Poor design Rachel   June 3, 2008

This pan is designed to grill, however, it burns and cakes onto and into the crevices and takes days to clean. It is a grill pan, supposed to take the heat however suggest only non-abrasive cleaners and to hand wash. How can one possibly clean a pan, which has grilled debris, with soap and water...no scouring pad. It was oiled and that created a great deal of smoke and did not ease the cleaning one bit. I have used it 3 times and it looks worse than my mother's old cast iron pans. I would not suggest purchasing this product; if you do you will never display it and use it seldom.

1 out of 5 stars Not worth the money   December 3, 2007

I have used this grill pan twice, both times oiled the pan before use, and no matter how low the temperature is or how well I coat the pan everything burns to it horribly, and it takes a long time to clean afterwards and the enamel chips very easily. I am not impressed with this product at all and would not buy one similar to it. The pan is also very large and as I have an older stove with electric burners, it doesn't fit well on them at all, or in my sink for cleaning.
