Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Don't ever lose a precious morsel of lobster meat again. Use this tool to break open lobster or crab shells without destroying the edible insides. It's both durable and whimsical. Be sure to have a few on hand for your next shellfish feast.

5 out of 5 stars Good Crab Cracker   November 25, 2006

We have used this type of crab cracker before, and like them. We wanted to give them as a gift to family, and searched high and low locally, but could not find anything we liked. Found them here, and immediately ordered 10 units.

The crab crackers are good, solid and can definitely crack the legs of the typical "crab clusters" found at your local seafood store. Never tried them on king crab legs, but would imagine they would do fine as well. All in all, these are fine tools for seafood enjoyment.

1 out of 5 stars Simply dangerous   December 7, 2005

I have one very similar to this, same design, material, just a different brand. It's dangerous to use it to crack crab shells as it is nearly impossible to keep a firm grip on the smooth surface. Also the jaws aren't designed to really clamp around anything and the teeth are rounded and useless. Since the handles are also so short, it is not possible to really gain any leverage.
