Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
There's nothing like the cheerful whistle of a tea kettle on the range to lift your spirits on a dreary winter's afternoon. Whether it's tea, cocoa, or mulled cider you've got planned you'll need the water piping hot.

1 out of 5 stars Hot Top on the Copper Bottom   August 25, 2008
This ain't your mother's Revere Ware! It's NOT 18-10 Stainless, it's thinner metal,
and it's made in CHINA - not the USA as the new corporate conglomerate wants
you to think. (the original "Revere Ware" company ceased US production years
ago and only the "brand name" is now owned by World Kitchen, LLC. 2006)

Besides being 'burned' by this faux-patriotism, you will likely be actually burned
by the incredibly bad design of the dinky phenolic-resin lid actuator as the tender
back of your fingers contact the boiling-hot steel top! (maybe only tiny chinese
underage olympic hands fit properly...?)

The single fill/pour hole is only ~1.25" diameter and the lid will only open ~45 deg.
relative to horizontal - so good luck filling this from either a filtered fridge dispenser
or poured from another container. Also, the spring-loaded lid will not remain in an
open position - which prevents the pot from thoroughly drying inside.

Amazon has other, better choices - browse on! (we purchased this from Amazon
and are returning it. [3.5 qt model #3535017])

5 out of 5 stars I was pleased until   July 8, 2008
I was very pleased with this item. It did everything it was constructed to do as advertised. It only had one flaw. When left on a hot stove burner for an extended of time with no water in it, it tended to melt.

4 out of 5 stars Good Tea Kettle   July 1, 2008
This is the 3rd tea kettle I have purchased in a year. I left the whistle off the other kettles and would forget they were on. I bought this one because the whistle is always on and is loud. I can hear it from anywhere in the house. I am happy with this kettle and would buy it again.

5 out of 5 stars Revere 6-Cup Whistling Tea Kettle   June 4, 2008
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and this little tea kettle is perfect for me! The size, weight, and ease of pouring make this tea kettle my favorite friend when it is time for tea. :)

5 out of 5 stars Revere Ware teakettle   May 14, 2008
Perfect size for me and my family. Lightweight, easy to use -- no fancy spouts that make you hold the kettle at weird angles. This is a replacement for an identical kettle that I used for 10-15 years.
