Product Description The Multi-edge is a breakthrough two-stage manual knife sharpener puts an excellent, longer lasting edge on both straight edge and serrated blades. This professional quality knife sharpener combines key features essential for consistent razor-sharp edges; precision sharpening angle guides, two-stage sharpening, and 100% diamond abrasives, in an easy-to-use design that is safe for quality knives. The knife sharpener can be used right-or left-handed and comes with a functional and attractive dust cover. Safe for quality knives Can be used right and left handed Includes dust cover Made in the U.S.A
Amazon.com Review Diamond abrasives in this tool actually sharpen a knife rather than simply realign its edges, as most sharpeners and sharpening steels do. For right-handers and left-handers alike, it's simplicity itself to use. Grasp the handle and draw a straight-edge blade back and forth through the stage 1 guide 25 to 50 times to coarsely bevel it. Then move the blade to the stage 2 guide and draw back and forth 10 times through finer diamond crystals for the second, fine-edged bevel. Serrated blades go only through stage 2. By turning, rollers demonstrate that a blade is properly straight so it is being beveled at the precise angle required. Lightweight but tough, the sharpener is formed of silver and black plastic. It's 6-1/2 inches by 2-1/4 inches, small enough to take on a camping or hunting trip. --Fred Brack

Works great... have scar to prove it December 17, 2008 I was originally interested in an electric sharpener but figured I'd try this first since it was cheaper. Very happy with the results aside from almost cutting off my figure with my super sharp knife.
Performs Well November 9, 2008 It's been a few years since I had my kitchen knives sharpened and they were very dull. I decided to buy a sharpener and try doing it myself. This seemed like the best choice because I don't have a lot of counter space. I followed the instructions carefully and got very good results on my two main kitchen knives. They are much sharper and cut food well. If you are looking for a basic product that gets the job done this is a very good choice.
Serrated Knife Sharpener September 16, 2008 I purchased this item for sharpening serrated knives. It seems to do an adequate job. I was disappointed in the fact that it only sharpens the very tips of the serrations, not the whole knife blade. My tomato knife, however, is much better at cutting up tomatoes and other vegetables than when it was dull.
Finally, a knife sharpener that does both kinds of knives. I love the ease of sharpening my knives whenever they need it. December 2, 2007 This is a great tool in the kitchen. I leave my Chef's multi-edge sharpener out on the counter and whenever any of my knives need to be sharpened it gets done in just minutes. It truly does a great job, even on serrated knives. I love it.
Don't Waste Your Money June 1, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This knife sharpener does not work well and isn't worth the money. If I still had my sales receipt I'd return it to the store. It barely sharpens my knives and I've followed the directions, read and reread them to make sure I was following the correct procedure. Don't waste your money on this product.
