Amazon.com Review These knife blade covers safely contain sharp knife edges and simultaneously protect them from dulling during in-drawer storage or--for professionals--transportation in a cutlery case. This set includes four covers of varying sizes that are designed to fit an 8-inch chef's knife, an 8-inch slicing knife's narrower blade, a 6-inch utility knife, and a 3- or 4-inch paring knife. The polystyrene construction is durable enough to hold up to razor-sharp knife edges and getting knocked around in a drawer. These blade savers fit all knife brands and are produced in the USA. --Cristina Vaamonde

Works great for my Victorinox Santoku, next to impossible for my Chicago Cutlery fillet knife September 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Title pretty much sums it up. I purchased this set for two newly purchased knives: 1. R.H. Forschner Victorinox Santoku, 7" 2. Chicago Cutlery Fillet knife, 7.5"
The 8" Chef's Saver fits my Santoku like a glove. The 8" Carver Saver requires a noticeable amount of effort to seat the blade properly in the cover. If the knives you are intending to use these Savers for are wider than normal, you may have some difficulty seating them. If they are slim like the Santoku I have, this Saver set is perfect.
PROS: 1. Designed to fit almost any type of knife that you own; based on length.
CONS: 1. I wish the plastic would have been a bit more flexible.
Knife covers September 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a personal chef, and regularly take my knives with me on my cooking jobs. I have a travel case for my knives, but these "blade savers" really help make sure that my knife blades are protected during transport. I wouldn't leave home without them!
One of those where you think, "why didn't I think of that?" August 9, 2008 These things are awesome. They protect you and your knives when you store them. The first 2 or so times you put the knives in the sheaths, the fit is gonna be a little tight, and you'll have to spend 10 or so seconds making sure the whole thing get's in there; but after that, the sheath will "give" and the knives will go in effortlessly. 5 stars.
knife savers July 30, 2008 I store some of my good knives in a roll, I use these to protect the edge and to prevent the knives from damaging the knife roll. These are a really good item.
They work just fine. April 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I recently bought a few high quality knives and for some reason the store did not have blade protectors in stock.
Before even unpacking the knives I ordered this blade protector set as I did not want the blades nicked.
They are well made but I wish there were a few more larger sizes in the set.
