Product Description This microwave takes most of the guesswork out of defrosting, reheating, and cooking! It has sensor settings for ten of the most popular microwave foods, and for popcorn as well. It also can keep things warm, and it can be programmed for four cooking stages. Powerful and roomy, equipped with a child lock, a timer, and a clock, it's ideal for family use.

watch out the sensor December 2, 2008 Don't trust its sensor system. The sensor showed 1 minute and 20 seconds.I saw the smoke coming out of the microwave after 1 minute. The food was all burned. We almost caused a fire in the kitchen.I am glad I was standing right there and turned it off immediately. If the sensor didn't sense the vapor coming out of the food,it should have showed an error sign or turn off the microwave.
What a buy! November 23, 2008 My microwave finally died so I started searching for a new one. My family LOVES popcorn and this one has a popcorn button with the option for even a snack bag size! It has popped every kernel perfectly, everytime! I love to option to reheat, but I haven't mastered the sensor heat yet. I think it may take some practice. The microwave is a great size too! I can easily fit a full dinner plate or five potatoes in a circle. It is also very quiet and while the screen might be a little dificult to read at certain angles, it doesn't bother me. I love the timer and it even has an option to keep the food warm which works great! All in all, I would highly suggest this product.
melted after 2 yrs November 8, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Did a lot of research and read reviews here, then bought this 2 yrs ago. Was OK except that whenever it was running for more than a couple of minutes, it developed a very loud hum/rattle that could not be stopped. Finally, a couple of days ago during normal use, a large section of the door actually melted onto the inside of the microwave! It's out of warranty but this is just plain unsafe. I will not buy Sharp again. Good luck.
Great appliance! November 3, 2008 My first Sharp Carousel microwave oven lasted 14 years without any problems. So when it was time to replace it, I bought the R-320HW. I don't normally go for gadgetry but upon trying the sensor settings for hot water and baked potatoes, I really liked them. I no longer had to guess how long it might take to heat those items.
The only issue I have with the new Sharp is that the frozen vegetables sensor setting caused the vegetables' water to boil over. Perhaps it was because I was heating them in a thick mug. It might work better if I used a bowl instead.
Our favorite Microwave November 2, 2008 We have had this wonderful Microwave oven for over a month and I can't say enough good things about it. We use it all the time for many different foods, from poaching eggs to making spaghetti, and it all comes out perfectly cooked. We had to modify the cooking times way down from our old oven due to it's high speed. I would highly recommend the Sharp R-320HW especially for the price.
