5 out of 5 stars an excellent value!   October 23, 2008
An excellent choice, have used it several times since purchasing and am pleased with the performance.Handles cookie dough without a problem. would highly recommend it over the more expensive brands.

4 out of 5 stars Sunbeam Mixer   September 29, 2008
I chose this particular mixer over others because of the brand, as I have used this brand before. The mixer does exactly what I expected and am satisfied with it. The only problem I have with this mixer is that in order to release the mixer blades you have to press the button on top. You have to press so hard on this button to release, I have to always ask my son to do this for me as I cannot get it to release. I'm wondering if perhaps this is something I should have looked at, or will it slowly become easier with use.

1 out of 5 stars NOT WORTH THE SHIPPING   September 23, 2008
I bought this mixer because I had an old one that I loved. I wanted the bowl to turn like the old ones. This mixer did not work for more that a minute before it stopped turning and smelled like it was burning. Needless to say I sent it back hopefully I will get a refund. My cheesecake had to be mixed by hand for 10 minutes!!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent kitcken mixer   August 8, 2008
I bought this when my 35-year-old chrome and steel Sunbeam mixer died. It is a great replacement. The motors are very powerful handling the heaviest dough easily. The deeper bowl prevents sugar/butter pieces from flying out when creaming them together. The moving bowl and beater action pushes ingredients downward and continuously mixes them rather than allowing them to stick to or climb the sides of the bowl and escape. I bake every day and using this is much easier than my older model.

Three minor complaints: 1) The button that releases the main head and tilt it back is too small, stiff to push and hard to operate with only one hand. I can get used to it.
2) The beaters turn fairly fast( too fast to see the individual beater spokes) on the slowest speeds. I thought it would send clouds of flour into the air but the beater action directs ingredients down into the mix.
3) The engine noise seems twice as loud as the old one. I just turn up the music volume on the stereo.

1 out of 5 stars Don't buy this   June 1, 2008
I bought this mixer about 1 years ago. It LOOKS reliable , heavy, with a lot of steel built into it. It is everything but reliable. Built to last till the end of the warranty period, not a day longer. All that steel is to make sure no-one will be able to take it apart to fix it, or to see that the internal power transmission parts are made from cheap plastic.
