This is a dream come true. I have always wanted a one-cup coffee maker and this one has to be one of the best. From manufacturing fit-and-finish to the ease of use to the convenience of a great cup of coffee, you can't get any better than this for under $2000. I am thoroughly impressed with the selection of coffees in the k-cup format, as well as teas and even hot chocolate. The Breville works consistently each time, whether you are brewing through the ground coffee attachment or one of the excellent k-cups available on Amazon.com or other sites. This is truly an A+++++ experience all around! Thanks Amazon and Breville!

Without a doubt, this is the best at home coffee maker I have ever used. Plus, it looks great on your counter. I was a fan of the senseo makers for a few years - until I used this. This was actually the first purchase I made for my new house in the spring of 2008. I bought it before I purchased any new furniture, kitchen accessories, etc. I couldn't wait to use it in my new house, and I have used it every day since. It's worth every penny.

I've been coveting this coffee machine for quite awhile and finally treated myself to it for Christmas. It makes a mighty fine cup of coffee simply and quickly. I've had a Senseo for years but wanted something stainless. Even though this was a bit pricey, so far, I'm glad I bought it. I just tried using the fill-it-yourself pod. Not bad. Guess I'll alternate k-cups and do-it-yourself (obviously, it's more environmentally friendly). The large number of sampler coffee and tea packs is a plus. I've even found a couple of drinkable decafs. The auto shut-off feature is another plus. Definitely a classy looking machine that I hope to enjoy for a long time.

I ordered the Breville Single Cup Brewer directly from Keurig for the office. I followed the set-up instructions to the T, and much to my dismay, the machine got stuck in the "heating" mode. I might add that the machine was delivered on a freezing cold afternoon and had probably been on the Fedex truck all day. The machine felt cool to the touch for hours. But I went through the set up steps again and again, and still could not progress beyond "heating". I assumed that I had received a "lemon", and proceeded to contact Breville Customer Service. True to the previous reviews, no simple task. At 2.00 in the afternoon I called the 866 number, and had to leave a call back number (my cell) and sent an email as well. I received a call back from Breville at 7.00 pm that evening. After explaing the problem, and that I had read reviews indicating that the "heating" issue was not uncommon, the representative told me that she had never heard of this problem (?) and to return the machine for a replacement. Upon returning to the office in the morning, the machine had warmed considerably and indicated "ready to brew". I pressed "brew", but to no avail. And again, and again. I then noticed that the water tank level had dropped, and the machine made a loud noise, then a sort of "burping" sound. I pressed "brew" again. Burp again. Brew again. Burp again. FINALLY, a stream of clear hot water ran into the cup. Eureka! This was my moment. I selected a cup size, placed my coffee selection into the brewer, closed the lid, pressed "brew". And within seconds, had my first cup of coffee. The machine has been brewing very good coffee ever since. So don't give up if the machine gives you the "heating" routine. The set up proceedure WAS noisy, but the normal brewing process isn't bad at all. After all of this, I recommend Breville Single Cup Brewer. Good luck!

We bought this coffee maker after xmas 2007 and haven't had a single problem with it. We love it. Makes great coffee and there is no clean up. The only downside is the cost of the machine and the cost of the coffee - but given we aren't pouring a half of pot of coffee down the drain every morning it probably works out better for us.
