An electric dispensing pot is a kitchen appliance that keeps water at a constant hot temperature for hot drinks and other culinary uses. Simply fill the pot with water and plug it in. It boils the water to 212??F and keeps it at a set temperature all day.

5 out of 5 stars Avoid cheaper alternatives   December 15, 2008
I have tried several supentowns over the years and they break (boil continuously) at about the one year mark. Even the warranty replacements have had problems. This one costs more but I'm counting on the quality, so far its been terific!

This water boiler is an excellent purchase. We use it everyday - it's turned on all the time when we're at home. The low temperature setting is perfect for baby formula. The higher temperature settings are perfect for a cup of tea or miso soup. When we are going to prepare a meal we often take the already heated water from the Zojirushi and pour it into our pot to reduce the cooking time. Cream of wheat, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, etc. are done with a moment's notice. This way we also reduce our use of a microwave oven, so our food retains more nutrients. We also drink more water just because it's always available, so overall this is a product that helps us stay more healthy and helps us prepare quick meals.
We own other Zojirushi appliances as well and the quality is long-lasting.

I found out about this product while visiting San Francisco, I was unable to purchase one in my area unless I got one on line. It is wonderful, not just for tea but for instant oatmeals, soups, cocoa, rice, noodles, and so many more things. I made a believer out of my whole family, who originally said, "Why would you buy that?" They know now. For a busy family it's a great thing to have.

My old Zojirushi water boiler conked out after 8 years of regular use, so I ordered the CD-WBC30. Features have gotten better in 8 years: the LCD display shows the temperature, and I have 4 thermostat settings instead of two. I used to have to choose between 208 degrees (too hot) and 140 degrees (too cold). I can now also select 195 degrees and 175 degrees. The 175 degree setting is just fine for instant coffee and oatmeal. I've used this boiler for two months without problems.
