Product Description No kitchen is complete without a variety of spoons. Solid, tasting, mustard, straight-edged, and wooden all have their unique uses.
Amazon.com Review This long-handled spoon is nylon coated, so it won't damage delicate nonstick cookware, and the slotted head allows cooking liquid or grease to drain easily. The nylon coating also means that food won't stick to this spoon, making it easy to lift and transfer meatballs, poached eggs, or steamed dumplings--though it's probably not suited to deep-fat frying operations, because oil temperatures approach the 400-degrees-F limit of the material. The pierced handle lets you hang the spoon on a utensil rack for easy access. --Jennifer Harris

| Customer Reviews:
Flimsy and cheap January 6, 2008 Looks like it would be a great spoon in the picture, so between that and the reviews, I bought it. It is worse than the things I was hoping to replace. Not only that, some reviewer mentioned for the stainless steel model (same spoon, just no nylon) that it is a lunch lady's spoon. The line is NOT. The scoop of the spoon is so tiny that it is useless. When you add the flimsiness to it, they're worthless for cooking a huge potful of heavy eats.
A new favorite - No longer stocked? November 15, 2002 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this because of it seemed strong yet gentle on my pots and pans. I was right. We always are looking for this piece when doing any cooking. It does not bend and get flimsy when heated like many other spoons we have used while cooking. To make a long story short, I am very disappointed to find that [you] apparently no longer carrying this. My dog got a hold of our spoon and chewed it up pretty good. I was hoping to buy a couple more :o(
Best of both worlds. March 8, 2001 To have the benefits of using a tool that doesn't scratch your pots and pans ALONG with the durability of a steel handle, it's worth every penny.
