Product Description America's top tongs offer colorful silicone ends for perfect pick-ups, which will not scratch non-stick cookware and will easily release food. Heat resistant up to 625F. Locking mechanism and hanging ring at end. Handles made of 18-8 stainless steel. Cook like all the famous chefs do, with tongs, but don't scratch your good pans with metal end tongs.....use the best......silicone ( Toss the rest )

Spring too weak November 25, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The spring does not provide adequate open pressure. The rest of the product is of nice quality. It is unfortunate about the spring because it makes using the tongs somewhat cumbersome.
I like it April 10, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The silicone tips are nice I guess. They help with gripping and won't melt like nylon tips and are easy to clean.
Good Tongs. August 18, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I really like these tongs, although as mentioned in another review some things will slide out due to slickness. However, I use these tongs more than any other. I like the fact that you can close for storage! I would definately buy again.
Will protect your pans, silicon could use a little better grip September 10, 2005 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
These tongs are definitely sturdy, and the silicon coating will help protect your pans. I've used these for a couple weeks and the only drawback is that the silicon can sometimes be too slick to really grab onto food. It's more of a problem when the food is in water (like pasta).
However, they're infinitely better than the all-plastic variety of tongs. With the plastic kind, you can't get a grip on anything because the plastic just bends. The metal tongs allow you to squeeze strongly enough to pick something up.
Bottom line: Nice to have in the kitchen, but not the only pair of tongs you'll ever need.
