Product Description Anolon Titanium is revolutionary cookware that brings style, convenience and professional gourmet performance to your kitchen. Amazon.com Review A rare feature among hard-anodized cookware, Anolon Titanium is actually dishwasher-safe. However, it offers cooks many advantages long before cleanup time. Constructed of extra-thick aluminum, these heavy pots and pans conduct heat quickly and uniformly (no hot spots) and won't warp. Their handsome, charcoal-gray exterior is harder than steel and resists scratching and denting. Inside, they're coated with DuPont's exceptionally durable Autograph nonstick that readily releases food. Stainless-steel handles wear an attractive satin-finish. The handles are rounded for comfort, hollow to stay cool on the stovetop, oven-safe to 500 degrees F, and have hanging holes. This 3-quart saucepan has a deep-set, satin-finish, stainless-steel lid with a handle that matches the pan's. Unlike conventional hard-anodized pots and pans, this cookware is dishwasher-safe because its titanium-composite exterior is nonporous. Nevertheless, its virtue of being dishwasher-safe is not unlimited. To prevent pots and pans from discoloring in a dishwasher over time--and to prevent voiding the lifetime warranty against defects--the manufacturer's cleaning instructions about water temperature (120 to 140 degrees F) and detergent (mild, with a phosphate content less that 7-1/2 percent) must be strictly observed. As with most cookware, hand washing Anolon Titanium is the better alternative for ideal care. --Fred Brack

Four out of five, because... November 24, 2008 The pluses of the Analon Titanium saucepan with lid are are also its minuses: Pro: Very heavy-duty, certainly undentable Con: So heavy, especially so when full of liquid, that the pot is hard to lift, potentially easy to lose a grip and have it fall on a glass cook-top, which it probably would break. Even though it's only a 3-quart capacity, it definitely could use a helper handle.
Pro: Very flat on the bottom, ideal for glass cook-tops. Con: The identification on the bottom of the pan is sharply etched, and if the pan is dragged across a glass cook-top it will scratch it.
Pro: Excellent, substantial, hard-to-find METAL, not glass, lid, the main reason I selected it!! Con: While the hollow metal pot handle does indeed stay cool, the metal handle of the lid gets hot and requires a potholder to deal with.
Pro: Easy to clean, the non-Teflon non-stick coating is effective. Con: To put it in the dishwasher you have to use dish-washer gel, can't use powder or tablet detergent, and no information is provided about whether the metal lid is also dishwasher proof.
Pro: Heating is nice and even; my first batch of brown rice cooked in it came out perfectly. So far, no cons in this department!
Overall I like this pan, and am considering ordering others in the same line, but probably only those that have helper handles. The major negative (besides the price) is it's scary weight -- I'm quite fit but my "little old lady" elderly mother would not have been able to use it at all.
Non-stick heaven October 24, 2008 These pans were a fantastic value for such a great product! Analon has always had a reputation for quality cookware and they fully earn that reputation with these pans.
The Best Cookware I've ever used! September 23, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have a 4-Quart Saucepan with Lid. I was lukcy to pay much less money at a discount store. I've tried all different levels of cookware in my life (from a grocerystore brand to All-Clad), and Anolon Titanium is the best! It never sticks, and it never burn my food no matter how hot it gets. I really wanted to own a whole Anolon Titanium set. However, it's a little too expensive ($325) for me by now. Possibly because of its brand new technology. I sincerely appreciate your unique invention. One day I'll own all of the nonstick hard anodized titanium pots and pans!
