May not be the choice of Cook's Illustrated, but it IS great! May 5, 2008
I was looking for a cooling rack for a few weeks before I decided to purchase this rack. The cooks at Cook's Illustrated didn't like the size of this rack, but thought it was sturdy. Since I figured I would be using my rack more for cooling pans of cookies than broiling, I decided to go with this rack. I am so glad that I did!
The rack has a nice amount of heft to it; you can tell that it is nicely crafted. I have even used this rack in my half-sized sheet pans when broiling chicken breasts on several occasions, and I have had no problems. I love this cooling rack, and I plan to add a couple more to my kitchen.
Great for many purposes January 2, 2008
Rated for >350 degrees, so I am using these for the second bake with biscotti, and for breaded meat cutlets, so I don't have to turn them.
They are not at all flimsy, and appear to be nearly unbreakable.
Highly recommended for cooling and baking.

Great cookie cooling rack. Love the big size. It easily accommodates my whole tray full of chocolate cookies. Easy to clean too.
