Product Description From Chicago Metallic, this set comes with all the essentials needed to make an elegant creme brulee dessert - everything, that is, but your ingredients. The set comes with an 8-in. square aluminized steel pan, four 6-oz. porcelain ramekins and a rack that fits inside the square pan. To use, place the rack inside the square pan, fill the pan with water then place your filled ramekins in the rack. Your dessert is then ready for the oven where it bakes gently in the hot water.

Nice set. November 23, 2008 I purchased two sets, and use them a lot. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is that the dishes could be a little bigger. Over all, I am very happy with them.

Got mine yesterday. box said Made in China. I thought Chicago Metallic was Made in USA...very disappointing to me!
Chicago Metallic Commercial Crme Brulee Set April 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This set makes making Brulee much easier for me. I have MS and doing the typical waterbath setup is harder and more difficult for me to manage. Otherwise a great brulee is made using set with limitations only by the chef. Can't wait to try more brulee variations.
Thanks, mbmartini
Pan Rusts March 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Well, I took for granted when it says on the box dishwasher safe. The pan had areas of rust and the metal surface changed colors. Still works fine, but wish I had handwashed and immediately dried.
No replacement ramekins available February 27, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I love the set - works really well - but I broke a ramekin and Chicago Metallic doesn't offer extra ramekins to fit in the wire rack. They are supposed to be 6-oz ramekins and the closest I could find were 6-oz ramekins from HIC - but those just barely do NOT fit in the set's wire rim - so now my set only makes 3 brulees at a time. If you buy this set - don't break any ramekins because as far as I can tell they are not replaceable.
