5 out of 5 stars Sturdy construction, unique design..   May 11, 2008

I saw this pan and couldn't resist purchasing it. It's a very heavy, well constructed bake pan. Plus, who could resist the opportunity to bake cute, little daisy shaped cupcakes?
This will take a bit of practice to figure out how far to fill the batter for different recipes. The first time I used it, I only got one cupcake that was tall enough to end up daisy shaped. However, I made carrot cake cupcakes that really just didn't rise high enough. I did get very good results though with a basic chocolate cupcake.
If you're going to bake these for a special occasion, make sure to do a trial run with the recipe in this pan or you'll probably end up with some missing petals.
The pan really releases the cupcakes well if for some reason you're not using liners. I lightly greased the pan and was able to lift the cupcakes right out without damaging them. Cleanup is a breeze, definitely no soaking required with this pan. Even the spilled batter on the top wiped right off.
