Crafted from heavy-weight aluminized steel, which combines the durability, strength, and superior heat conduction of steel with the corrosion-resistance of an aluminum-silicone alloy. Coil-coating, a heat-application process, is used to bond Dupont's SilverStone no-stick coating to the metal. This state-of-the art process, used in manufacturing major appliances, means the rolled metal is coated at peak temperatures over 700 F. Each pan is then formed from the quality-assured coil-coated roll. Unlike low-temperature sprayed or dipped coatings which are applied after other pans are stamped out, coil-coating assures strong, long-lasting adhesion and consistent, even coverage--there are no bare spots to rust or stick. Precise, proprietary folding technology is the key to the unique construction and strength of the pan; steel is folded over at the ends, which triples the corner thickness and reinforces the rim. A wire rod is curled inside the rim for extra strength and warp-resistance.

I purchased this sheet cake pan planning to use it to make sheet cakes, unfortunately no recipes came with it so I don't know how many boxes of cake mix to use, nor cooking temps, etc. Figured it would come with at least one recipe that I could use as a "starter" recipe. Wound up using the cake pan for making deep dish pasta dishes, lasagna, etc. It's teflon coated so it's very easy to clean up, just use plastic utensils and it shouldn't scratch. It actually wipes clean with a paper towel. I did not use the dishwasher, since the temperature gets too hot for teflon, I just hand washed.
