Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The aluminized-steel of this exceptionally durable uncoated pan heats quickly and evenly to ensure uniform baking. With use, the metal darkens slightly, increasing its ability to absorb heat so muffins cook faster. Choose 6-cup crown muffin, 12-cup muffin or 24-cup mini muffin.

All Chicago Metallic Commercial Bakeware is made to meet the exacting standards of commercial bakers and home cooks who prefer the tradition of baking on uncoated pans. Each pan is crafted from aluminized steel that combines the durability, strength and heat conduction of an aluminum alloy. The uncoated surface offers good reflectivity for even dispersion of heat and more consistent, even baking and gradual browning. After repeated use, darkening of the pan will actually enhance baking performance.

Product Features
• A professional-weight muffin pan made of heavy-gauge, aluminized stainless- steel
• Traditional uncoated surface for consistent, even baking and browning
• Rust- and corrosion-proof
• Finished with rolled rims for added strength and warp-resistance
• Oven-safe to 550 F
• 25-year limited warranty

5 out of 5 stars sturdy muffin pans   October 29, 2008
I haven't baked with these pans yet, but they stack nicely, and feel very durable. Chicago Metallic has a good reputation.

5 out of 5 stars Daughter Really Likes These   October 8, 2008
I got 2 of these for my fresh out of college daughter. She says she really likes them a lot. I didn't want to get the teflon coated bakeware as I did not want to expose her or her pets to any teflon gasses when the pan heats up. I plan to get myself these same muffin tins soon. They remind me of the heavy duty muffin pan I loved to use on the farm so much.

1 out of 5 stars The pan rusted   September 29, 2008
This product disappointed me. The directions said it was dishwasher safe, so I ran it through the dishwasher prior to using it. When I took it out of the dishwasher I saw rust along the bottom of one whole side of the pan. I am in the process of returning this product and will purchase William Sonoma's Crown Muffin Pan instead.

4 out of 5 stars Nice quality, but ridges around cups.   March 16, 2008
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

I have not yet used this muffin pan; however, once I received it I was a bit unhappy to find that there are ridges around the edges of the cups. Since I frequently have overflows with my muffins, these ridges will make it harder to clean up. Other than that, the quality seems good. I like that they are not nonstick. They are not oversized cups - which is nice for portion control.
