Lasko 758000 Review November 30, 2008 Pretty much what I expected. Only "complaint" and I knew this beforehand is that airflow can not be directed at the floor.
Very pleased November 30, 2008 I purchased this unit to use in a sun or utility room which is not well insulated. The unit it fairly quiet and does a good job of heating the space. The body of the unit does stay cool while the grill portion is warm to the touch when it is on. I keep it a couple off feet away from the wall and curtains just to be on the safe side. I am pleased with the performance of the heater and was surprised it warmed the room up so fast. As of yet I have not seen it take a huge bite of my electric bill.
Glad I bought it November 30, 2008 It warms a fairly large room within a reasonable amount of time. I was somewhat surprised at how big it is but that's my fault for not paying attention. On the other hand, I may not have bought it if I had known it's size. I like it!
So far so good! November 29, 2008 We've been very pleased with the Lasko space heater. We have very high ceilings in our living room and dining room upstairs space and hoped to take at least a little bit of the edge off of the cold with this heater. Happily it works even better than we had hoped. The only concern, and a small one, is that the base isn't as stable as we would like so we have it placed near the wall just in case. It hasn't fallen over but does seem a little "tippy." Otherwise it's great and we're considering buying another one for our downstairs bedroom area
Great Heater November 21, 2008 I have just purchased the 3rd heater of this model. The temp works just like they say, and is right on target. Set it at 72 and it kicks off at 74 and starts up at 71. The fan is quiet. As a safty they use and over heat sensor that works to cut the heater off if the air flow is blocked. I would still like to have a tip over switch. I did place my unit on it's face to see what would happen, and it did sut down within 15 sec. Other than the tip over switch that I would like as a back up. I have hunted the internet for hours and not found a better unit. Hope this helps you. If it will last more than a year, that would be very good.
Good luck Jerry
