| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Transfer printed from original engravings, the Thanksgiving Turkey multi-colored salt and pepper set is decorated with a vibrant turkey illustration and is perfect for either casual or formal holiday dining. For a vintage look and feel, these shakers are made using traditional transfer printing methods dating back to the 18th century. Each piece is processed and handled at least fifty times. Manufactured in fine earthenware, Thanksgiving Turkey products are both microwave and dishwasher safe. Churchill China has been manufacturing dinnerware for the home for 200 years. --Brian Olson

Pic is right now,tom turkeys, but they don't match Churchill! May 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I do not care for these tom turkey shakers, but I put 3 stars because after a full year, Amazon has FINALLY figured this out and put the correct picture for the shakers that they are selling. Three times in the last year, I purchased what they were showing as Churchill Thanksgiving shakers (with the same border as on the plates) and all three times I got these ugly tom turkeys. However, I'm sure some people will like the turkeys, so at least the picture now represents what they are selling. If it were me, I think there are other shakers that would compliment the Thanksgiving pattern more tastefully, but some people enjoy the turkeys, especially kids. Be warned, these are NOT marked Churchill and I highly doubt that they are made by Churchill. Also, they are $20 right now, and in my mind, these are junk. The first time I bought them, they were 9.99, the 2nd and 3rd time, they were 2.99....so $20 is very pricey for the quality, which looks like dollar tree wares, to me.
Sent wrong shakers TWICE!! April 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I too had problems with receiving the wrong salt and pepper shakers. They were in the shape of turkeys and unattractive. I don't know if anyone reads the reason why you return something because they did this twice and from reading the other reviews I was not the only one this happened to.
Buyer Beware! March 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If I had gotten the shakers shown in the image, I would have liked them. However, be careful which "used" vendor you purchase from. The skakers sent to me by Amazon Warehouse were nothing like the image. They were new, gaudy, kitschy, and in the shape of a turkey. ugly (sorry vendor, but that IS what you sent me. You did refund the price, but not the shipping which was more than the item itself. I learned my lesson!)
Turkeys?! March 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was expecting the pretty salt and pepper set that is pictured. However, I received a set of 2 multi-colored TOM TURKEY shakers. Since I purchased them through a warehouse deal offer for less than $3, it is not worth the trouble to send them back.
I checked the ASIN number on the package and on the web listing and they are the same. The turkey shakers I got were predominately bright yellow with azure, coral(red?), brown and dark green accents. They are roughly 4" x 3" x 2.5". I could find no markings on the shakers to indicate the maker or design. The shakers are not bad in themselves, they are just not "as advertised". In addition, they do not look like they would match the Churchill China Thanksgiving dinnerware as it appears in the photographs. (The turkeys on the dishes look like real wild turkeys.)
I do not know if this was a mix up in warehouse deals or if all the shakers are misrepresented.
If someone gets the ones pictured, let me know!
