Amazon.com Review Harder than steel, Anolon Classic pots and pans are made of hard-anodized aluminum and coated inside with DuPont's exceptionally durable, three-layer Autograph nonstick. Because they're aluminum, the pots and pans conduct heat quickly and uniformly without hot spots. The matte-finish gray exteriors are characteristic of the hard-anodizing process, and they resist scratching and denting. The synthetic handle is oven-safe to 350 degrees F and is riveted for strength. This 3-quart chef's pan is excellent for making sauces, sauteing vegetables, and many other cooking tasks; it can also go into the oven for slow-cooking or warming food. Anolon Classic cookware should be hand washed and carries a lifetime warranty against defects.

GREAT pan! January 28, 2004 Easy to cook in, easy to clean, and a perfect size to cook everything we need but not be a nightmare to wash.
If you only have one pan... April 23, 2003 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I accidentally happened on this pan quite a number of years ago, thought the shape looked "interesting" (this was before sauciers were common), and bought it. Since then I've used it constantly for absolutely everything! Out of habit, I use spray, nylon and wooden utensils and handwash cookware, and this pan has outlasted my Scanpan set. Nothing's ever stuck or burned, the coating has only minor marks that don't effect cooking, and none of it has flaked. If I need a lid I use a generic one. It's the smartest buy I've ever made. I'm looking for more Analon.
An Apartment Dwelling Cooks Viewpoint April 2, 2003 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a very nicely sized pan. It is a cross between a fry pan and a saucepan. Like all Analon Classic Pans it does not have the weight of a professional pan, like the Circulon, but it is not a cheap thin pan. I really like the extra disk that Meyer has put on the bottom of their Anolon pans. it keeps them flat on the burner and conducts the heat quickly and evenly. I find that heat settings of medium to medium-low work best with this pan. I have even done small stir-fry with no more than a medium-high setting. This pans biggest drawback is no lid, However I have 10-inch lids from QVC's Cooks Essentials that fit it perfectly.
