Cooking with steam is healthful, easy, and fast, especially with a smartly constructed steamer like this lidded model from Anolon. Durable and generously sized, both steamer and lid are constructed from commercial grade 18/10 stainless steel. The steamer's perforated bottom lets in plenty of steam, while its solid stair-step sides make it compatible with 1-1/2-, 2-, 3-, and 4-quart saucepans. A snug-fitting stainless-steel lid completes the efficient operation. Anolon's HollowCore stainless-steel handles—-on the basket and the lid-—have a comfortable rounded shape and a nonslip texture. Attached with extra-large rivets, they stay cool during cooking for easy handling. wonderful, flexible steamer insert January 12, 2007
I got the Anolon Titanium Non Stick Dishwasher Safe 12-Piece Cookware Set and purchased this steamer to go along with it. The steamer is fantastic! It fits in all 3 of the pots and works wonderfully. We steam veggies with it often. Steamer inserts are great for healthy cooking, but having the flexibility to use a smaller pot to boil the water is excellent. It's well made and comes with the same lids at the rest of the set.
The price and service from Amazon on this is the way to go, this is not a piece seen typically in stores and does not come with the typical cookware sets from Amazon.
