| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This dinnerware recalls artisan pottery with its simple shapes and earth toned glaze effects. Rustic blues and reds mingle with browns and neutrals forming an unusual palette with unexpected variety. Please note: variations in surface and glaze are intrinsic to handcrafted stoneware and no two pieces are exactly the same.

Arrived broken...TWICE September 14, 2008 Ordered these to go with my growing Sango Nova brown set and the butter dish was broken. Sent them back and the replacement set's salt and pepper shaker were broken! I gave up and amazon said just to toss it out and credited me.
caution! August 10, 2008 I recieved this set first and it was broken. I sent it back for an exchange and recieved another one- scratched. But aside from the shipping, I really like the set, they are cute and the butter dish is just a little smaller than an 8 oz stick, but fits the 4 oz ones well. the products themselves are really nice, just be careful about the packing!
Took a while... February 8, 2008 I have the Sango Nova dishware and purchased the butter dish, salt and pepper set. They came (January and cold) looked fine. As I took them out and set them on the counter, our whole family turned and stared as we heard high pitched "pings" coming from the butter dish. We stood and stared for about 15 minutes as we watched it continue to make a pinging sound and proceed to crack in half. It got returned. I got another set and it seems fine so far!
First set came broken January 15, 2008 The first set I received had a broken butter dish. I have almost the complete set of dishware and bakeware in the Sango Blue. So far only the lasagna dish and butter dish have arrived broken or chipped. Unfortunately, a couple of items I have added to my collection as of late have had minor defects. The casserole dish I received had scratches in the color glaze under the finish. The lasagna dish arrived with a small chip on the corner that I missed when unpacking. Upon receiving my second hostess set I am content with the item. The holes are a little off center on the salt and pepper shakers, but it lends a feel of being hand crafted to them. I think if I had not had the dishware set for over a year and really enjoyed it, I would not be so forgiving with the latest items I received.
Sango Nova Brown Hostess set December 9, 2007 The first set that arrived had a butter dish that did not fit together. The second set had a butter dish that was broken during shipping. I have been informed that it cannot be replaced because there is a "widespread problem" with the item. So far I am not happy; I would still like a functional butter dish to match my dishes.
