Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars gift purchase   August 8, 2008
This item was purchased as a gift for my daughter. She was very impressed with the style and loved that they nest inside each other. Attractive on the table, easy clean, great storage. Irene

3 out of 5 stars Disappointing   July 26, 2008

Warning: these bowls can't be put in the microwave and they can't be put in the dishwasher. The description does not mention this "minor" detail, but a small insert inside the box does. Who wants to hand-wash a mixing bowl? And who wants to move leftovers out of the storage container into something else in order to microwave it?

Maybe I should have assumed all of this because the bowls are partly made of steel, but so many items these days are microwave-safe even though they have metal in them. It never occurred to me that something made by Corelle could make my kitchen work MORE complicated.

Beyond that - the bowls look fine, and they are supposedly scratch resistant, but they just "feel" like the color will start chipping off soon. And the lids aren't as tight as you might expect. They do fit, but I wouldn't want to tip one upside down.
