The coffeemaker's fast-brewing technology delivers hot, fully extracted and aromatic coffee. Removing the carafe pauses the brew cycle, which allows for pouring a cup midbrew. Its 54-ounce glass carafe provides a handy water-level indicator and a distinctive non-slip open-handle design for simple pouring. The unit's exclusive, filter basket-release button makes it simple to remove the basket and conveniently place it on the countertop for easy filling or cleaning.  GREAT coffee maker! October 4, 2008
This is a great coffee maker for the price. It is nice to have the built in gold filter that can be washed and reused. Other reviews have complained that the coffee brews too fast, but that is one of the benefits! I'm glad I selected this coffeemaker.
Best machine I've ever owned. October 3, 2008
I spent a lot of time researching which Coffemaker to purchase. By reading others' comments, I was able to determine what features were important to me and which one satisfied those needs. I have been using the Braun KF590 for a month now and am VERY pleased with my purchase. I stopped using the filter basket almost immediately, and bought disposable cone filters and I may try it without the Braun water filter and see if I notice the difference. Right now I'm getting a great cup of coffee every time. No complaints whatsoever.
The best coffeemaker that we've owned! September 29, 2008
This coffeemaker (Braun) is the best we ever owned. We had an earlier Braun coffeemaker where the carafe was broken,and we tried other coffeemakers that we were not satisfied with. We had problems finding the Braun brand in retail stores, so we looked to Amazon for a solution. Who knew all this time I could have been having better coffee at home? This machine makes a great cup of coffee! It's fast, tasty and, uniquely, it is HOT. Finally I can put cream in my cup without having to microwave it. For me a water filter is a must for better tasting coffee and a cleaner coffee maker. The Braun looks nice, too, especially if you have stainless appliances, and it comes with a gold basket filter for those who like those. Highly recommended.

The coffee maker looks very good and is working well. It does whatever it was advertised to do. I especially like the programmable part of the equipment.
