Product Description A quick boiled egg, a bowl of soup and sauces for seafood, poultry and meat all require the right pan such as this 1.5-qt. stainless sauce pan. The All-Clad stainless piece has three layers of metal bonded together. The aluminum core covers the sides and bottom so heat passes evenly throughout the pan. An extended handle slopes up and away from pan to remain cool to your touch. Safe for use on glass/ceramic stoves.

one and a half quart sauce pan-all clad October 9, 2008 very nice pan as all of the All-Clad line are. The price was about half of what the one quart pan was. I am very happy.
Over priced - bad warranty August 18, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can't believe the price of a 3 qt. sauce pan! It's not worth it. And the warranty is horrible. There are a lot nicer pans out there for this kind of money.

4th degree burns can be suffered when handling this metallic brim stoke pot, which doesn't have cool iron density retraction at the handle. You are better getting a cool wave disperse model which Maytag sells, but if you use a Calco hand glove, this is just as good.
Indestructible May 12, 2008 I have had this pan for a bit over 6 months and saw nothing outstanding in it compared to the other All-Clad products that I have (I love all of them). But then my teenaged children where released to summer vacation. I came home from work to find them watching a movie and as I passed the kitchen I noticed a spot of warmth. Thinking this was odd I asked if anyone was cooking something. My oldest jumped off the couch with the agility that only a panicked teenager could have and ran into the kitchen. I followed close behind to find my 2 quart sauce pan on the 12,000 BTU burner, on high no less... With nothing in it.
It turns out that an hour before my son had put on a quart of water to boil and forgot about it. The pan was HOT. There was carbon marks all on the inside of the pan, none on the out side though. I just turned off the burner and told everyone not to touch it for an hour.
I suspected that the pan was ruined, but it was not. No delamination, no deforming, just some discoloration and carbon marks. A small amount of Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser & Polish: 12 OZ and a lot of elbow grease and the pan looked like it just came out of the box.
Though I would not make this your first All-Clad purchase, I would highly recommend this saucepan. It has the quality, finish and control you would expect from an All-Clad product. It may seem a bit narrow and tall at first but, as other reviewers have mentioned, that allows it to minimize reduction and creates a moist steam filled area in the upper portion of the saucepan.
For a more versatile pan I would recommend the All-Clad Stainless 3-Quart Saucier Pan, but I would not be with out this sauce pan in my collection.
Excellent! May 11, 2008 Like all other All-Clad, superb pan and the 'refurb' model offers a great savings - fast, free shipping from Amazon!
