The magnet is quite strong, and stays on my fridge, without sliding down. I bought this to use as a trivet, not a pot holder. I can't imagine this working very well in that capacity.... But it's a very convenient trivet, because it's always within reach, ready to be put into action.

While the magnet is strong & it can be used as a trivet, this product is a poor pot/pan holder. It does not grasp well, & is slippery.

This is a great product that is versatile and has a convenient magnet installed so that it can be readily available for use. Good quality product that I use for trivet and for pot holder. Material is strong and heat resistant so is safe for use on wooden table.
