Born to parents in the restaurant business and in the neighborhood where Picasso and Chagall once lived, is it any wonder popular and internationally renowned French artist Guy Buffet is best known for his rich and evocative cafe scenes? The "Perfect Martini" Series comprises four 8-1/4-inch plates with Buffet's signature deep golds, reds, and thick black-browns. A thin red line borders every plate, and each one features a scene from Buffet's painting "The Making of a Perfect Martini" which shows the stages of sublime martini-making. The middle plates, where the waiter madly shakes the cocktail shaker, are particularly entertaining. Use to serve a slice of cherry-topped New York cheesecake or a salad of arugula and pine nuts drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette--and don't forget the martini. --Dana Van Nest

FANTASTIC ART WORK. October 26, 2000
I just purchased Eschenbach Guy Buffet Martini Suite Plate set and I think they are wonderful. I have decided to not use them as salad plates but rather hang them above my bar in my dining room. I think they will make a great conversation piece there. Thank you for having such great kitchenware.

Im gonna cut to the chase. Im crazy about Martini. Vodka Martinis, Dry Martini, Martini and Red Bull...the lot. But finding the perfect Martini suite plates to compliment an ice-cool Martini spritzer on the rocks had always been a nightmare, until I stumbled across the Guy Buffet Martini Suite Plates. The designs on these beauties are simply exquisite. Vive le Revolution!
