Works well, but September 2, 2008 The tool works very well, and my labrador retreiver tolerates it very well. I like having the nail edges rounded off so I get fewer scratches on me and the house. The only negative is that it seems to use a lot of power. I have to replace the 4 AA batteries for each session, which gets costly when you're trimming once a week.
Works Like Advertised September 2, 2008 The Dremel 761-03 cordless pet nail tool works like advertised. It is easy to handle, does not make a lot of noise and actually works. My dog had her nails grinded before, and was not at all bothered by the noise made by the Dremel. She does not like having her nails clipped but the Dremel does the job with no complaints. This is much cheaper than paying the groomer to do it. The Dremel will pay for itself in a few short months.
Wow, now I can cut my dog's nails without a fight! September 1, 2008 My dog hates getting her nails clipped. At the vet or at home it's always impossible. The vet office has "Use Caution" on her file and she's the nicest dog who has never bit anyone. So I bought the Dremel and it works! I can't believe I can cut my dog's nails without her fighting me. I can trim her nails without help from other people. This is amazing. It's a great product and the price is a good deal. My recommendation for future models would make the product with a built in charger so all you have to do is plug it in and not waste batteries.

If I had the choice again I would have gotten a regular Dremel with a rechargeable battery. We have used this product a few times and each time we used it we had to replace the batteries. It is the same exact tool as the regualr Dremel you get in stores and you can get more for your money there. Still, it works great on pets nails.
pet nails August 30, 2008 USED IT FOR OUR SHELTIE. WORKS GREAT.
ALSO USED FOR SMOOTHING MY OWN NAILS AFTER CLIPPING. WORKS GREAT FOR THEM TO0.
