The best tool yet! February 19, 2008 I received this as gift and after using it to attach trim & baseboard, I can't believe it did so well for a cordless nailer. I'm a homeowner, not a contractor so I don't need a huge setup with a compressor etc. This is a great tool because it has lock protection against accidents. You can change nail sizes in less than a minute and work in tight places that make hammering difficult. The only drawback is the availablity of nails - not easily found in the usual places like Home Depot or Lowes.
Great for the money February 8, 2008 I bought this nailer to do some simple projects around the house. It has proven to be a real bargain and I am seeking out reasons to use it (I guess it's a guy thing). It is practical in that there is no cumbersome compressor and air hoses to deal with and it is versatile enough to handle many household projects. Obviously if you're doing major renovations or additions go with the big gun, but this is perfect for small repairs and projects. Easy to use, quick to charge. What's not to like.
B&D 18 volt is the best out there December 31, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I run a renovations / punch company working for several major builders in the Charlotte, NC area. We do tons of trim and cabnet repair and have used Dewalts cordless and pneumatic nailers in the past. The B&D 18V from Lowes is a total package for what we do. I have all my guys using this item now. FYI folks- Dewalt is a B&D company. The housing is all that is different between 90% of their products. The pretty yellow is all that seperates these guns and a huge price point. Enjoy the 18v and skip the 12V.
works great! December 7, 2007 drove through 3/4" oak into oak plywood w/ no problems. definitely easier to use than a pneumatic and better than any other electric (corded) i've seen. i would definitely recommend it.
You cannot beat this for the price November 22, 2007 What a great tool for the price. I didn't want something attached to an air compressor because it wou;dn't be a tool I'd use that much. I did molding around two rooms using this with no problems. I never thought DeWalt tools were that good; Milwaukee always seemed the way to go when you truly want a refined yet durable and powerful piece of equipment, but I had to go for this given the price. Nice job overal B&D.
