Finally found what I wanted! August 1, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love this clock radio. After purchasing and returning two different clock radios that were too inconvenient to use, I absolutely love this one. It's easy to set up and use, which is key for a person like me with no time to waste fiddling around with my alarm clock! The only surprise was the product size--based on the product picture I thought it had a small footprint, but the clock numbers are really big (I'd say 1.5 - 2" high) so the overall unit is bigger than I expected. It's worth the real estate, though.
Lacks battery backup and digital radio tuner and has a tiny out of sight manual radio dial July 28, 2007 57 out of 60 found this review helpful
I read the positive reviews on this Sony so I thought I would buy it for my 18 year old daughter who is going off to college in about a month. While this Sony does sound good and has a decent alarm, CD player, and MP3 input, the radio is not only analog, but the dial is off to the side is very tiny. It also has no battery backup!!! If listening to the radio and tuning in stations is not important to you I say go ahead and buy this clock radio. I expected that the radio part of this clock radio would have been much easier to both see and use for the price.
Not bad... July 22, 2007 14 out of 17 found this review helpful
This clock radio is one of Sony's "Dream Machines." It is a little big and bulky, and looks a bit outdated. The sides are an awful white color. Does not look good with chic or modern decor. Also, this unit has an oddly placed input jack right in the front, which looks awkward and destroys the lines. But, I still give this product 3 stars because the display is nice and clear -- very easy to read. Also, the sound quality is surprisingly good for the price.
What more can you ask for? July 12, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
It was cheaper than I could get it at the store, no tax. The sound is just dandy -- it doesn't seem to work so good with my Vision M -- the line in works ok but the sound is just a whisper (so no fifth star) but it was under $30 and it wakes me up in the morning. Twice.
Handy dandy Sleep alarm. July 12, 2007 14 out of 25 found this review helpful
The product is excellent, though, in size, it is larger than you'd think from the illustration.
Using a CD for the alarm is a great idea. I now awaken to the Baron Ochs waltz, Opus 89, from Richard Strauss'Das Rosenkavalier! Devine! And I imagine Jeanette Mac Donald singing new words to this music, words crafted by a brilliant Hollywood lyricist and used in the movie "Three Daring Daughters." Not a bad way to start the day!
