Excellent Breadmaker July 4, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Simple to use. Good results. Especially with prepackaged bread mixes. Krusteau makes a box that includes 5 bread mixes in it and all you add is just water. The Hawaiian Sweet Bread is the best! Moist, not hard and crusty. Would purchase this again if found it in the store nearby. If not, I'll come here to Amazon to get it.

Lost my agitator March 28, 2004 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Hi, I must have thrown the agitator out with the last loaf of bread that we didn't get eaten before it went bad. Sometimes it sticks in the loaf. How can I get a replacement? We really love our machine. I miss using it. Grahamcreek
Breadman TR444 October 27, 2003 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
In our family, we make a fresh bread about every night. Sometime twice a day. So we are, I think, one of the most frequent users of this machine. And probably this machine is not made for being used so frequently. Still it has lasted longer than we thought. We bought our first one early 2000. That machine broke within the year, and we got a new one for free, late 2000. This one has now lasted about 3 years - wild guess: 1000 loaves ? - and is getting close to the end of its life. The cover glass is now getting loose, sliding away each time we open the lid, and the sides of the lid are literally breaking/burning off. So now we get some pieces of plastinc in our bread, now and then ... I just ordered a new machine, but chose for the Zorijushi, hoping (from what I can read) that it is stronger, better for frequent users as we are. Also, the Breadman has a 'vertical' bread, and we prefer the 'horizontal' type. I should also mention that we use the same recipe 99.9% of the time: it is not always easy to finetune your recipe with those machines, so once you do, stick with it!So, overall, the machine did not bad, but (1) broke within the year, and (2) doesn't seem to last longer than about 1,000 loaves. Therefore, it doesn't deserve more than 3 stars.
First bread machine, a failure December 29, 2002 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This was a gift which I eagerly anticipated using. After 3 failed attempts with bread not rising, not mixing properly, being lopsided, falling flat on the top, I returned the machine for a refund. I was meticulous in my measurements and used fresh ingredients, so this was a disappointment.
