5 out of 5 stars Perfect tool for the weekend warrier!   August 13, 2006

I previously purchased only Craftsman tools. But after using my fathers B&D Firestorm drill, I became a convert and purchased my own Firestorm 18V cordless drill. It works great, is easy to use, and the battery life is great is superior. Would recommend to any do it yourselfer / weekend warrior! And I love the fact that the batteries are interchangable with other B&D lawn tools (I have a pole hedge trimmer, broom vac, and string trimmer which are also valuable & productive tools that I'd recommend).

4 out of 5 stars 4-1/2 stars really   July 9, 2006

I know "real" DIYers might scoff at B&D, but I'm totally satisfied with this drill. The 18v has a lot of oomph for everything but the toughest screws, which usually are difficult to hand-screw so I understand a power screwdriver wouldn't have the torque.

I've had it over a month and it's still going strong - granted, I don't use it everyday, but it's held its charge for longer than I would have expected and longer than what I experienced with a Ryobi 14.4v driver.

Overall - I'd give this 4-1/2 stars and highly recommend it for it's useful charge time, powerful torque, and pricepoint.

4 out of 5 stars Very nice drill, but not the one described   March 27, 2006

As another reviewed discovered, this drill does not have the removeable chuck. It also does not have a 24 step clutch. It does have a 5 step clutch (which should really be enough for anyone). It also seems very well made (although the case leaves a lot to be desired).

Amazon did offer us a refund, but since it was given as a gift, we declined.
