It does what it should do... January 5, 2007 A very basic tool, but a very functional one. It bites into a nail, with or with out a head, and pulls it with minimal effort. The thin wedge is good for getting under pretty anything. Excellent for trim work and such.
A must for the remodelers toolbox December 30, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of my top 5 most used tools in my box for remodeling my home. That flat edge is useful for countless projects. Right now I am using it to remove some old tile from our finished basement. It is flat enough to tap under the tile and pop out the tiles in 1 or 2 pieces. My only complaint is that it is small. I jumped online to order the larger version for myself and one for my brother who just bought his first house.
so good it sprouted legs July 6, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great pry-bar, or cat's paw as they're known at this size. My only initial complaint is that the steel was not quite as hard as I'd like to see--it developed a couple nicks from nails. The blade was also a hair thicker than I'd prefer. All things considered, this was the closest to my ideal I've owned--so good, in fact, that it mysteriously sprouted legs and walked out of my tool bag after only a couple weeks.
Essential Tool June 4, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I keep this one in my tool belt because I use it all the time. Gave one as a gift to a friend so he wouldn't steal mine. It is worth the price. For most jobs I would recommend the 10" rather than the 8".
A tool worth 10x its cost October 8, 2005 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This truly amazing tool has become my most used (and cherished) handtool. For delicate interior work, it is perfect for removing brads and small nails. You can easily avoid wood dings and mars by placing a solid plate (or the end of a second identical tool) under the pry head. The flat end gives you a very thin (and sharp! be careful) edge which allows you to wedge in between moulding and trim and pull them apart. It's not for demolition work, like a wonderbar, but I find more uses than I could ever have imagined for this fine, precision tool. I bought an extra one for my neighbor, and he has come to same conclusion regarding its usefulness. Don't leave home on a job without it!
