What happened to my warranty? March 11, 2008 About 60 days after purchase, my washer would sometimes stop, mid-cycle. It wouldn't restart until I moved the timer one click. I called for service, but Haier had problems finding a local repair company. This is a major city in WA state and they can't find a repairman? I finally called and ask them if they would send me the part. They agreed, but after another 40 days, I've received nothing.
Around 90 days into the experience, the blower motor burned out. Translation: No dryer. I called, repeatedly to get service. At one point, they mentioned the name of a local company, but later confirmed that they do not work on Haier equipment. Again, I repeated the offer to make the repair if only they would send me the parts. The last rep I spoke with was the first to say it would void the warranty if I did the work, myself. I suddenly wondered what the warranty was good for, anyway.
I have checked several sources and tried to order the parts I need. Every supplier has zero on-hand. Although I am beyond the 90 day window, I understand Walmart (the seller) will probably accept a return, under these circumstances. Kudo's to WM! I also understand this model isn't being sold by WM, any longer. Target quit stocking them, as well. Now, why would that happen?
In the future, I will avoid Haier products, unless they are disposable to begin with. When Haier China opened up their offices in the name of Haier America, I would think they would include real service and parts with the deal. To date, I have seen neither.

I had the President of Hair North America call me after I threatened to expose this unit as the worst appliance ever made. It is flawed and they know it. If I had a party and invited all the Hair servicemen who have been to my home to fix the unit, I would need 1000 pounds of beef and 500 cases of beer. Got the LG and never looked back.
GARBAGE !! DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT !! NOTHING BUT TROUBLE !! June 20, 2007 Giving this Haier product a one star is one star too many. Purchased on March 5th, I still have yet to have ONE LOAD washed and dried and today is June 20th. Calling customer service to remedy the original problem in late March (clothes won't dry) was like speaking to The I.R.S. What the technician told me to do from the phone was the complete opposite of what the in-home technician visiting my home told me to do (costing me an extra $150 for a plumber to come to alter the pipes to accomodate the first technicians answer to the problem). And get this - the first in-house technician (who bragged he has been repairing washers and dryers for 35 years) his first question to me was "How do you open the door?" meaning the door to the unit, and also said "I've only worked on one other of these units in my life" !!!
Today, a second technician was supposed to show and was given instructions to call my cell phone to wake me up, plus I can HEAR that phone ring tone. I work midnight shift and am also hard of hearing. Those easy instructions were supposedly noted for the Second Technician to follow. He never called that phone, but called instead my home phone that I can NOT hear and I was here all the time waiting and sleeping just upstairs. So another wasted day waiting has come and gone.
A third visit and technician is coming in another TEN DAYS from now. I only wish I could have read all these reviews before I bought this combo. It is in my newly remodeled basement (Costing $30,000) with this unit being the center piece where everything else (10,000 vinyl records / Library shelving) would work around. I dread the third technician next week telling me they will have to pull this one out and bring down a new unit. DO NOT - I REPEAT - DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND !!!!! Hear my warning loud and clear ! Read my tale of woe again before you want to buy this washer / dryer combo.

Thank gawd I didn't purchase this product! My landlord has it in my apartment and I have to hang dry everything because it doesn't dry clothes at all!! Sometimes it doesn't even wash! Go to Sears and do proper research on a washing machine!!

This is without a doubt the WORST appliance I have ever purchased...& I purchase a lot! I have had 4 units in two years, because no one can/will repair them. I have lost so much time contacting Haier, getting the run-around, waiting for replacements, paying to get them installed, etc. I am replacing with another brand & I will NEVER buy a Haier anything EVER AGAIN!
