Product Description
2 in 1 tool: This tool punches and crimps. Used on low carbon steel up to 14 gauge Head swivels 360 degrees for use in tight areas. The PL1550, Professional air punch/flange is a "2 in 1" tool designed for use on a range of cold-rolled, low carbon steel up to 14 gauge. When using the flange, a new steel panel is easily attached to the existing panel without deformation. The punch is an excellent tool for punching new panels for 3/16" rivets or welding.

 Had a Significant Problem out of the Box December 1, 2008
I really prefer IR air tools to their competitors, but IR doesn't sell a flange/punch, so I went with this CH unit. Overall it's a good unit, but it did have the following showstopper out of the box: the 1/4 inch pipe bushing for the air line fitting was installed without any thread sealer, so it leaked air, and it was installed with WAY too much torque to boot, which damaged the threads in the body of the tool.
I had to re-tap the threads and re-install the bushing with Teflon tape, as it should have been done at the factory.

This Flanger/Punch air tool is the greatest air tool I have bought to Date.
Leaves an Excellent flange. And the hole punch is just perfect for welding in new panels. (on my Jeep Cherokee Floor boards)
In all I would highly recommend this to any one doing sheet metal work.
