These battery chargers are new with full factory warranties. We buy them in bulk, not in retail packaging, and pass the savings along to our internet customers. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Chargers are checked before shipping to insure they are in working order. A bad battery incerted into this charger will short the electrical circuits inside the charger, and void the manufacturers warranty. Please check any battery, old or new, that will be used with this charger.

Overpriced August 12, 2008
This is not a Black & Decker product. It is a Black & Decker-compatible product. Actually, it's a piece of cheap plastic with a charger that replaces the heavy, durable charger you bought with your power appliance. Before buying any replacement charger, see if you can determine whether the problem is with your original charger or the battery you probably overcharged. If it's with the battery, you're wasting your money buying this product, and the vendor will endeavor to avoid taking it back. If it's with the charger, or if you simply want an additional charger, this unit will do the job.

It's really a worthless piece of plastic. Please read what Woody Goode had to say and buy another type of charger. This one worked for one charge, then died.

I used the charger a few times, then it unexpectedly broke. I took it apart and used a voltage tested to find that the leads coming in from the AC adapter was not providing any power.
I definately do not recommend this unit. I just purchased the slighly more expensive orange one.
The unit worked for 4 years before crapping out.

SO, my father-in-law gave us a brush trimmer that uses this charger.....I charged the battery and it worked for about 15 minutes. I tried charging it again. It wouldn't work at all. SO, I thought it was the battery. I ordered another battery. I charged it as soon as I got it. The light on the charger never came on, so I wasn't sure what was going on. I used the trimmer for about 15 minutes again and the thing died. My husband told me to buy another charger. After using this piece of junk, I would NEVER buy another one. I read other reviews and decided to order another charger. I am hoping the new one will work :)

If you need to replace the charger that came with your PS130 Firestorm battery DON'T BUY THIS ONE. I charged the battery once and it worked fine. The second time I went to charge the battery, the charger was not working and now I need to replace it. What poor quality from Black and Decker. I wonder if they really care?
