It's always a good idea to have a second charger on standby in case your first charger is damaged or simply to make sure all your batteries are charged and ready for use. This unit charges the 14.4 volt Skil pod type battery and gives an indication when the charging is complete.

Product was as advertised. We have been using in a commercial setting for a few months now. No problems. Much better than the chargers that are supplied with the drills from skil.

Having used the charger only twice in the 30 days I have had it, I am happy with it. It appears to work well with the batteries for which it is designed.
