Amazon.com Product Description
The Bucket Boss 55039 Builder's Rig Air-Lift combines suspenders and a tool belt to maximize tool-carrying capacity while evenly distributing weight across your body. Lots of pockets are included for holding smaller tools, and the side-handing bags keep tools away from your belly. The wide suspenders with two layers of breathable foam remove strain from your shoulders, while open end pouches hold your cat's paw, long screwdrivers, and combination square. You can reverse the pouches to fit left and right-handed users. The air-lift fits up to a 48-inch waist, and it weighs just 2.3 pounds.

There's a lot to like here. Super padding won't cut into your shoulders and the X design distributes your gear's weight evenly, taking the strain off your back. Everything about it is quality, from the fabric to the heavy-duty hardware and the tough straps. We like that left-handers can arrange the bags to suit them, and best of all, we didn't get gored in the gut by protruding tools when bending over, thanks to side-hanging bags. Now, those side-hanging bags bumps the hammer ring to the back, and we do think the rear-hanging hammer would take some getting used to, but the side bags are worth it. We'd sure like to see Bucket Boss build a cell-phone compartment into the design, but aside from that, there's nothing we'd change. If you've been clipping suspenders to a standard tool belt, stop and try this on for size. We're sold on it.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

4 out of 5 stars I think it might be cool, but I'm not like a great judge or anything, 'cause I don't really need or use a toolbelt.   November 21, 2007

I think this is an awesome product, especially for the price. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the belt is kinda lame. I'd like to have a large padded belt with velcro and a normal buckle. this is some junky nylon folding-tension-device-thingy.

the suspenders and toolbags are all pretty cool.
I say that, based on looks and one try-on. I have yet to put a single tool in the bags (as mentioned, I don't do any "work" that would require more than a mouse or keyboard, I thought this would be nice to have just-in-case).

1 out of 5 stars Falling apart   October 14, 2007

I made my old tool belt and it lasted over 20 years and I LIKED IT. I working in the trades as a framer and concrete contractor and I know how important a tool belt is: needs to accomedate your tools snugly, conveniently and accessable as well as comfortable. I carry on average over #30 of tools continually on roofs, through studs, over hill and dale.
This tool belt just dosen't fit the bill. Started falling apart right away and is designed for a #300 8 foot tall person. Way to much web length and the buckles and clips break as they are plastic and pot metal. The pockets are sewn to a tapper so the bottoms of all compartments fill up with dirt, saw dust and debrie. Tool compartments are to deep for tools and sewn flat so its hard to impossible to get tools out. You better order rivets with this as you will be rivetting everything back together and also securing bags and hammer holder in place as they slid around to easily.
Overall, I do not see how they build these for the price. But if you are a tradesman, these will drive you nuts. Expect to do a lot of improvising and repurchase within a year as they just do not cut it...at least for me.

5 out of 5 stars Great for Time warner cable installation   October 2, 2007
Great tool belt for cable installation. Sometime's I take the shoulder staps off which is nice. Has the right amount of pockets and size for cable tools. I just love this tool belt. It makes my life easy and not walking back to the truck for equiptment is down to a minimum. The only con is tightling the shoulder staps once in awhile when they come looose. Great product for my line of business.

4 out of 5 stars Nice, sturdy, comfortable   April 18, 2007

I like this rig a lot, it is comfortable and seems of sturdy construction. However, I wish the pockets were deeper, and the rid is just a tad big for my body (5'7'', 230 lbs). This thing is huge.

5 out of 5 stars Well Rigged   January 9, 2007
This is an excellent tool belt for getting the weight off your back and helping to keep your pants up. Multiple pockets will hold a variety of tools and/or fasteners.
