Very poor instructions September 6, 2008 I purchased this for my delta unisaw.
Amazon took two deliveries and 5 phone calls to get this delivered correctly. It comes in two boxes. Before I had received any delivery, the delivery service returned one box to Amazon and they credited me for returning the entire item. The following week one box showed up.
First instruction was to move the low voltage electrical box on the back of the saw 3 inches down. It took over an hour, but was the wrong distance and had to be redone.
Then the instructions said to mount a paper template for drilling holes 3 1/2 inches from the top of the table; that was also wrong.
I ended up with a lot of extra holes in the back of the saw cabinet.
Also, the text of the instructions did not match the pictures that accompanied it. I had to refer to other pictures to see how parts should be mounted.
I have never encountered such poor and inaccurate instructions. Roller table is installed now and working fine, but what should have taken about two hours tops, took almost five.
Several hardware parts were missing from poor packaging.
Roller extension for Delta Unisaw July 14, 2008 Overall, this product was fairly easy to install. This product is very useful and I feel that since the work piece is supported better, that my safety is improved. This was worth the investment.
The only downside was during the installation. Although it wasn't difficult to install, I can see a few areas were the installation instructions could be improved (improved clarity). Also, my shipment was missing the bottom bracket bolts.
Poor construction is dissappointing. January 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had one of these on a table saw ten years ago and it worked great. I bought a new Delta saw and thought I would get another one. The first one arrived with the main frame severely bent and not usable. Amazon sent a replacement and the main frame was welded so it would not sit flat against the saw. I tried to order a third one but it was back ordered. I contacted HTC directly and they said they were in the process of redesigning the unit but would send me a new main frame. It arrived welded crooked also.
It is such a good idea for a small shop I will probably reorder when the new design is available and see if they have improved their welding.
great helping hand December 31, 2007 Now I don't have to ask my wife for a hand. After installing the extention table and adjusting it,I can complete my projects. There were a couple of holes to drill for the lower mount, other wise it just bolted on. Worth every penny and only added 10" to my saw when retracted.
HTC HOR-1038u Works for a tablesaw pm2000 powermatic December 31, 2007 Just tacke your time installing, instructions are a little confuse, you will give up your dust collector, but i used a 2 1/2 pvc splicer and instead of using a 4" flexible hose i used a 2 1/2 flexible hose and with the splicer i hoocked up the other hose the one, that is coming down bellow the the blade, I'm happy works just as good, is nice and level, I read another review from this site and another person said that it was'nt level that the rollers do not line up, but i did needed one so a thought i'll give it a try and if it is that bad i just send it back, the rollers do line up real nice Worked out real well, when you will mount the main bracket just macke sure that is level fron left to right just macke sure that lines up with the top table double check before you drill i have a powermatic pm 2000 5 hp 1 ph i got a good deal from a local dealer, new out of the box, later iwill up load a quick video just to show others that you can use this product, I shoped around and amazon.com is the only low price that you will find plus a got free shipingn, that was nice, there was 2 studs and 2 nuts missing i just went and got'em , but all that needs to be tacken care from htc before they ship'em out, Real happy with it. It was delivered in 3 days, at times you will need a hand just to mount the main bracket and installing the studs, everithing else will come together
