Great invention! August 31, 2008 I Should have gotten one of these things years ago. I get a much smoother line and, being a woman on the back side of 50, it is much easier to use that the traditional caulk gun. I'm going to buy one for a gift for a friend too!
LOVE IT July 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
used this gun when I painted my house and I love it! It worked better then i thought it would. If you takt out the batteries it works like a regular cauch gun great tool!
Not up to the task July 5, 2008 This unit comes with McNair batteries. Need I say more? Once I changed them to Everready, the unit bogged completely down on some admittedly thick caulk. With a new tube of smoother caulk in place, the unit managed to nudge caulk out of the tip but did so in a cyclic pattern as the little motor struggled in cycles. Smooth continous delivery was the one thing I thought I could expect from a motorized gun. Cyclic blobs I can create for myself with a hand powered caulk gun. If Black & Decker had made this corded maybe the motot could handle it but all-in-all I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
No more hand cramps! June 29, 2008 This thing really works great. Have been remodeling an old house and have been using alot of caulk. If you have alot of caulking to do, as I have, and using alot of liquid nails type adhesive, I would recommend buying rechargeable AA batteries and charger. If you don't have alot of caulking to do at one time, you will be fine with regular AA batteries.
Caulk Gun June 27, 2008 Really love it. I hate caulking, and this actually made it fun. Would recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing a caulk gun, well worth the money to go battery operated.
